Corsini, Harold (American/Pittsburgh, 1919-2008), The Scab, c.1960, mixed media with oil and plaster on woven canvas, signed, titled and dated on reverse, 30 x 24 inches. An unusual work by Corsini, who is best known for his photographs. Corsini moved to Pittsburgh in the late 1940's to work on Roy Stryker's famous Pittsburgh Photographic Library, he eventually became the official photographer for U.S. Steel and later taught at Carnegie Mellon University.
