Neal, Harold (African-American/Pittsburgh, 1931-2013), Woman in Caftan, undated, pastel and ink on paper affixed to board, signed lower right, 38 x 24.25 inches. Neal taught art in the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, in the former Ivy School of Professional Art, Downtown, and in Bucknell University, Carnegie Mellon University and La Roche College. He was the first art therapist in the former Western Penitentiary state prison in the North Side and also owned H.M. Neal Galleries in Wilkinsburg.
