Froot, Harry D. (Belgian, 19th/20th century), River Canyon, early 20th century, oil on canvas, mounted to board, signed lower right, illegibly titled on the verso, 24 x 20 inches, unframed. Provenance: Harry Eichleay Art Co., Pittsburgh. Title on the back appears to say Cubbicenti's Needle, which is possibly a mistaken reference to Curecanti Needle on the Gunnison River in western Colorado. Provenance: The personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski. Ed was co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg. He was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.
