Hecht, Anthony, illustrated by Michael Kuch, Seance for a Minyan, number 19 of 70 copies, signed by the author and illustrator on the colophon, 2001, Double Elephant Press, illustrated with Kuch's Baskin-esque copper etchings on handmade paper, folding hardcover binding with red tinted window, housed in the original mustard cloth slipcase with title labels. Hecht wrote these poems for Leonard Baskin's Gehenna Press, but Baskin died in June 2000, and this book is dedicated to his memory. A stunning, unique take on Biblical and Jewish art. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution, but with no stamps, stickers or markings; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
