Provenance: Dr. and Mrs. George McCollom, Pittsburgh; private collection, Pittsburgh. Koerner referred to this work, painted from the backyard of his house on Murray Hill Avenue, as 'just an illusion of chiseled brushstrokes.' The view is of Shadyside from Squirrel Hill, looking down Murray Hill Avenue to the north. The steeple of The Third Presbyterian Church is visible above the rooftops.
