Koerner, Henry (Austrian/American/Pittsburgh, 1915-1991), WWI Statue in Doughboy Square, Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, 1970s, watercolor on board, 18 x 24 inches, apparently unsigned, framed in a thin black metal frame. This statue is located in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh where Penn Avenue and Butler St intersect. Provenance: acquired from the artist late 1970's exhibition (erroneously titled as Frankstown Ave. WWI Statue) on list affixed to reverse; The Estate of Charles H. Booth Jr., New Kensington, PA.
