Finster, Howard (American, 1916-2001), Art of the Tingnolas, Lorsit City in Visions of Other Worlds, undated, serigraph on paper, signed and numbered 53/100 in pencil at the bottom, image 13 x 30.5 inches, in a metal frame 20 x 48 inches. Reverend William Howard Finster was a minister for over forty years in Alabama. After retirement, he moved to Summerville, Georgia, where he turned his swampland into Paradise Garden in reflection of his religious beliefs and a vision that sent him on a mission to create sacred art. His works have been featured on album covers for popular rock bands such as The Talking Heads and REM.
