Ibram Lassaw gilt bronze abstract pendant. An Egyptian-born American artist, Lassaw was an early to mid-century pioneer of abstract sculpture. He was influenced by Picasso, and Miro. The pendant is fashioned of layers of multi-directional openwork bronze strings and topped in 3 flattened rings. The gilt surface is in very good condition with minor wear. Finished with a pendant ring attached to the top back. The artist signature is inscribed "Lassaw" on an attached bar at the center back of the pendant. Measures 3 1/4" square. Approx. 69.8 grams.
