Cantini, Virgil David (American/Western Pa. 1919-2009), Monitor, 1964, welded iron, corrugated steel plate, paint, and glass, 93 x 21.5 x 21.5 inches, incised with signature and date on the upper corrugated steel panel with circular opening. exhibited in The 54th Associated Artists of Pittsburgh Annual Exhibition # 30, illustrated in catalogue, awarded Jury Award of Distinction/Patrons Fund, Jurors were, Anni Albers, Herbert Ferber , and Nathaniel Pousette-Dart, Provenance: The Estate of Virgil Cantini, Tri State Antique Center 2014,
in good condition apart from oxidation surrounding the drilled holes used to secure the sculpture to the ground.
