Humbert, Jacques Fernand (French, 1842-1934), Study for a Portrait of a Lady, c.1890s, oil on canvas, relined, signed F. Humbert lower left, 18 x 14.5 inches, in a carved wood frame 29 x 26 inches. Provenance: estate of art historian Aaron Sheon, Pittsburgh, who was best known for his 1978 monograph and exhibition catalog on Adolphe Monticelli and his groundbreaking research on Vincent van Gogh.
