Janesich, Art Deco Card or Cigarette Case, 1910-1920, stamped A. Janesich, Paris and 1546 on the underside of the lid, 9.3 x 5.8 x 1.4 cm. Rock crystal stone shaped and carved, with etched bows and flowers motif, rock crystal cameo of a female figure surrounded with diamonds, the hinges, clasps and belt all set with diamonds on platinum. Weighs 94.2 grams. With original leather and gilt stamped clamshell box. Provenance: Sotheby's, Important Jewels, December 5, 2001, sale number 7744, lot number 257; private collection, Western PA.
