Miro, Joan (Spanish, 1893-1983), Untitled Surrealist Abstract, 1947, original color lithograph on wove paper, a single plate from the deluxe edition of the catalog Le Surrealisme en 1947 which was edited by Andre Breton and Marcel Duchamp and printed in a limitation of 999 copies, published by Pierre a Feu and Maeght, Paris, printed by Mourlot, full sheet 9 x 7.75 inches, unframed, unsigned as issued. This is the first color lithograph that Miro ever made. CRAMER 11 (for the whole book). This exhibition was the first post-WW2 survey of Surrealism, put on by Breton and Duchamp to celebrate their collaborators who were thriving before the war started.

Condition

In overall good condition, with a hint of toning to the sheet, primarily along the edges and a small bit of paper loss to the right edge and lower right corner.
