The Pittsburgh Times, Saturday Morning June 1, 1889, double issue, first two pages devoted to coverage of the Johnstown Flood which occurred one day earlier on May 31, headlined AN AWFUL CATASTROPHE, newsprint, folded twice. Printed the morning after the flood, this newspaper offers one of the first written accounts of the damage.
