Baskin, Leonard, text by Jose Yglesias, One German Dead, 1988, number 27 of 110 copies, signed by the author on the colophon, and signed by the illustrator on the etching at the front, Eremite Press, hardcover, leather title label. Rare, with no current copies for sale online and no previous auction results. This short novel is an autobiographical story relating the exploits of an aviation radioman-gunner who volunteered in 1944 for a commando raid on the southern coast of France. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
