Albers, Josef (German/American, 1888-1976), Interaction of Color, 1963, complete with 80 folders containing color prints, plus the text and commentary volumes, all housed in the original cloth slipcase, from the edition of 2000 copies, published by Yale University Press and designed by Norman Ives, folders 13 x 10 inches when closed, the plates were printed with a combination of silkscreen, four color separation and photo-offset processes, some of the original tissue-guards are present. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Condition
Images in primarily good condition, some with a scuff or scratch (the lower number folders tend to show more wear), margins with varying degrees of mild handling and creasing; ex-library stamp to the outside of all 80 folders, but the interiors and plates are free of any markings; library bookplate (with withdrawn stamp) affixed to inside front of the text and commentary volumes; labels on slipcase and spines.
