From the edition of 32, not signed or numbered, as originally issued. This was an elaboration of an unprinted woodcut from 1944. According to Jo Miller's exhibition catalog, Albers superimposed cut-out paper shapes over the wood grain to produce the unprinted areas. The title refers to the medium: Wood Plus Paper. DANILOWITZ 183c. A rare print with a small edition that doesn't turn up at auction very frequently. In very good condition.
