Albers, Josef, Despite Straight Lines, 1961, first edition, signed and inscribed by Albers on the half-title, the inscription is dated June 1968, and appears to be made to a Mrs. S. J. Thurston, hardcover, 9 x 8.5 inches, 87 pp. illustrated throughout with examples of Albers' art, published by Yale University Press, New Haven. A classic work of art theory, signed by one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Albers taught at the Bauhaus in Germany, Black Mountain College in North Carolina, and Yale.

Condition

In good condition, moderate soiling to the covers, spine ends bumped; foxing and light yellowing to first and last 10 pages; faint musty odor throughout. Obi band worn at edges, but complete and in one piece. Book now housed in a fresh mylar protector. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
