Hulich, Josef (American/Uniontown, PA, 1917-1999), Cubist Industrial Plant Exterior with Blast Furnace, circa 1970, oil on canvas, 22 x 28 inches, signed Hulich upper right corner, A bright cubist Industrial Site with stylized Blast furnaces and smokestacks, with a white painted wood strip frame. There's a record for an artist by this name living in Uniontown in the 1960s, so this painting is likely influenced by the mills of Western Pennsylvania. An entry for Hulich is available in the Howard Wise Gallery holdings at the Smithsonian Archives of American Art.
