Bodmer, after Karl (Swiss, 1809-1893), Abdih-Hiddisch, A Minatarre Chief, Tab 24. from Travels In the Interior of North America in the Years 1832 to 1834, color aquatint, etching, and roulette with later hand coloring, after Bodmer's painting, plate size 20.25 x 14.5 inches, Publisher : Published in Paris, A. Bertrand; Coblenz, J. Holscher and London by Ackermann & Co. published in London between 1839 and 1843. Abdih-Hiddisch (Maker of Roads), was an important chief of the Minatarres. Bodmer made the drawing at Fort Clark during the winter of 1833-34.First state (of two), Provenance: W.
