Langdon, Katherine Irene (aka Katherine Langdon Corson) (American, 1869-1925), Country Landscape, undated, c.1890, oil on canvas, signed K I Langdon lower left, 16 x 24 inches, in a gilt wood frame 28 x 36 inches. Born Katherine Irene Langdon in England, she moved to New York and Philadelphia and became a student of Emil Carlsen, H. Bolton Jones and F.C. Jones. She married the writer Walter H. Corson in 1892. Her paintings are quite rare, with only a couple appearing at auction in the last 30 years. Provenance: Collection of a Pittsburgh Gentleman, Pittsburgh, PA. In good condition.
