Noland, Kenneth (American, 1924-2010), Doors: Carving the Rock, 1989, acrylic on canvas, mounted to wood panel, with color Plexiglass, signed, titled and dated on the reverse, 36.75 x 35 inches. Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist in 1991; Sotheby's NYC auction, lot 620, Contemporary Art, September 25, 2020; Private Collection, Western Pennsylvania. Exhibited: Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, NYC; Meredith Long and Co., Houston; with labels on reverse.
In very good condition; complete and stable, showing only a light layer of surface dust and minor scratching to the Plexiglass.
