Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (Japanese, 1786-1865), Ukiyo-e Triptych showing 3 Portraits, including Woman Doing Her Hand, Mirror in Hand [Femme se coiffant, un miroir dans la mai] showing off modern kimonos with geometric patterns, 19th century color woodblocks, each sheet approximately 13.75 x 9.25 inches, for a total width of 28 inches, unframed. Provenance: purchased in Japan before 1910. Another example of the rightmost sheet was included in the 2023 exhibition Vuillard and the Art of Japan at Fondation de l’Hermitage.
