Baskin, Leonard (American, 1922-2000), 4 (of 6) etchings from the Print Portfolio Series, Number Five, printed by Harry Evans at the Peregrine Press, 1960, from the edition of 100 copies, sheet size 12 x 9 inches, housed in original folder, but lacking title leaf. The 4 prints included are: George Stubbs, Jacopo de Barbari, Vittore Pisanello and Albrecht Altdorfer. Unsigned, as issued. Provenance: Gift from Leonard Baskin to the artist Thomas Cornell, who then gifted them to Walter Silva of Gallery de Silva, Santa Barbara, CA, who then gifted them to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Newell. Allen Newell, who was a Turing Award winning pioneer of computer science, machine learning and cognitive psychology lived in Pittsburgh. A typed letter from Silva to the Newells gifting the pieces and describing their provenance is included.

Condition
