Lieb, Leonard (Polish/American/Pittsburgh, 1912-1977), Untitled Pittsburgh Hillside, 1939, oil on board, signed and dated lower left, 20 x 16 inches, unframed. Likely a scene from Pittsburgh's Hill District or Oakland neighborhood. Provenance: estate of the artist, by family descent. Lieb was a member of Group A and a student of Samuel Rosenberg.
In good condition with a layer of surface dirt and a missing section of paint near the center. Also with loss to the board along the edges.
