Hoen for a US Agricultural Survey, full sheets 9 x 5.75 inches, three of the plates are after paintings by the famous botanical artist Deborah Passmore and the other seven are by the equally well known William Henry Prestele, fruits shown include Eldorado Blackberry, Japanese Persimmon and Bing Cherries. This lot also includes 5 chromolithos of spermophiles (rodents, gophers) after paintings by Ernest E. Thompson, and one brilliantly printed plate showing chemical breakdowns of various types of oils.
