Lot of 3 facsimiles of important Mexican Plate Books, all hardcovers, from the collection of Cardinal Luigi Raimondi, includes: John Phillips, Mexico, 1965 reprint of the 1848 original, folio, brown leather binding in original cardboard box, number 513 of 1000 copies; 2. Estampas y Mapas para la edicion Mejicana de la Sagrada Biblia, 1967 reprint of the 1835 original, number 1 (Especial) of 500 copies; 3. Mexico y sus Alrededores, 1961 reprint of the 1855 original, small folio, number 865 of 1000 copies, inscribed on the second title page from the publisher, M. Quesada Brandi, to Cardinal Raimondi. Luigi Raimondi (25 October 1912 – 24 June 1975) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as prefect of the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints from his elevation to the cardinalate by Pope Paul VI in 1973 until his death two years later. Raimondi also served as the Apostolic Delegate to the United States from 1967 until his appointment to the Vatican post in Rome.
