Uppik, Lucy (Canadian/Sanikiluaq, b. 1935), Mother and Child, 20th century, soapstone sculpture, apparently unsigned. Depicting a mother nursing her child. Incised details. With original receipt. 8.5 x 9 x 10.5 inches. Uppik is a celebrated Inuit sculptor, basket weaver, and seamstress. Provenance: Frame Mode Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA.
