Hardie, Martin (English, 1875-1952), Spring Day, near Petworth, 1951, watercolor and ink on paper, signed in ink at lower left corner, pencil signed, titled, and dated "May, 1951" at reverse, image size 7.75 x 10.5 inches, matted and framed 19 x 24 inches. Martin Hardie was a painter and museum curator in London. He was a member of the Royal Watercolor Society and served as Keeper of prints and drawings at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
