Prekop, Martin (American, born 1940), Glass Mirror Screen constructed with 27 square beveled mirrors framed in painted wood, 82 x 67 x variable. Each piece is mirrored on both sides and rotates in orientation on wood dowel pins. The screen attaches to the wall by screws on one side and is free-standing on the other with two additional wood pieces for attachment. Originally placed in the library of Prekop's Mirror House, the work serves as both a sculptural relic of the mirrored design-style as well as a functional screen for separating interior space.
