Azarian, Mary (American/Vermont, 20th Century) Pussy Willows, late 20th century, hand colored woodcut on paper, signed and titled in pencil along lower edge. Information on the artist verso. Image 10 x 15 inches, matted and in a 16 x 20.75 inch gold metal frame. Azarian holds a Fine Arts Degree in Printmaking from Smith College, where she studied under Leonard Baskin. In the 1970s, Mary began to illustrate children's books and has contributed to over fifty books, including Snowflake Bentley, winning the 1999 Caldecott Medal for the best illustrated picture book.?
