Klar, Mary Shepard (American, 20th century), The Old Mill Stream, 1937, oil on artist's board, signed and dated lower right, titled and signed on reverse, plus illegible inscription, 20.25 x 24 inches, in a period Arts and Crafts wood frame, 25 x 29 inches, painted gold. Provenance: Studio By The Stream -- the artist's summer home located in Conway, Massachusetts. An excellent impressionistic landscape with impasto, reminiscent of the work of Edward Redfield.
