White, Minor (American, 1908-1976), Axe and Plowed Field, Elk River, c.1947, vintage silver gelatin print mounted to board, ink note 12 #1 and the artist's Rochester and San Francisco stamps on the verso of the mount, 7 x 9 inches on a 9 x 10 inch mount, matted and framed 21 x 17 inches. Provenance: From the artist to friend and fellow photographer Nathan Lyons; Bruce Silverstein Gallery, NYC; private collection, Western PA. Illustrated in Mirrors, Messages, Manifestations, Aperture, 1969.
Condition
