Follower of Francois Boucher (French 1703-1770), Le Panier Mysterieux, late 18th Century or first half of the 20th Century, (original was painted in 1748 and shown in the 1750 Paris Salon as #24, oil on canvas, 92 x 104.5 inches, Provenance: Estate of Myron Charles Taylor 1960, (Taylor was Ambassador to The Vatican; Mr. Walter DuVerrier; Mr. Louis Talotta, Pittsburgh, Pa. canvas seamed together along top third with extensive crazing some of which has alligatored and some areas of paint loss especially around the urn, the canvas has become unattached along the lower edge from the stretcher bar, otherwise the figures which are especially well painted are in good condition and stable.
