Born in Cape Town, Hoberman has received MAs from Oxford and Chelsea College of Art and now lives and works in London. She gained prominence following her selection for both the New Contemporaries show at Tate Liverpool in 1996, and for Saatchi's exhibition of New Neurotic Realism in 1998. She has subsequently exhibited extensively including participating in group shows at galleries such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, and Magasin 3, Stockholm.
