Lepper, after Robert (American/Pittsburgh, 1906-1991), Painting in the United States poster, Carnegie Institute, October 14 to December 12, 1948, lithograph on paper, framed 21.5 x 16 inches. Lepper designed the poster in 1943 for the Painting in the United States shows at Carnegie Institute (now Carnegie Museum of Art). The Painting in the US exhibit, which ran from 1943-1949, was the mid- and post-War version of the famous Carnegie International when they had trouble getting artwork from Europe.
