Pair of Baroque style armchairs, early 20th century. High rectangular backs, curved arms supported by carved scrolling supports, resting on legs with x-form stretchers and center ornaments. Carved floral motif in some areas. Gold tone finish over wood. In green velvet upholstery. 44.5 x 28.75 x 26.5 inches. Provenance: Deaccessioned from a Pittsburgh, PA institution.
Condition
In overall good antique condition. Some chips throughout. Some usage related abrasions. Center of the stretchers slightly cracked and separating, not affecting structural integrity.
