A pair of convertible weighted sterling silver candelabra attributed to Meriden Britannia Company, American. Weighted single candlesticks with three-cup candelabra attachments. Appropriately marked -- note that the winged phoenix does not include the 'M' stamp. 16.25 x 15 x 4.25 inches each, and 11 x 5.25 x 4.5 inches with the upper portions removed. Provenance: The Estate of Edith (Toto) Fisher, Pittsburgh, PA. Toto Fisher was an active supporter of the arts in Pittsburgh, and served on the boards of many of the city's most important institutions, including The Carnegie Museum of Art.
Condition
