Kowris (?), T. J. (American, possibly Native American, 20th century), Pair of Drawings: Chief with Pipe and Mother with Children, mid 20th century, pastel on paper, mounted to boards, both signed lower right, appears to be TJ Kowris or something similar, 17.25 x 11 inches, uniformly matted and in wood frames 26 x 18.5 inches. Provenance: The estate of Donald T. Mervine, Western Pennsylvania, sold to benefit the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. Both mounted to backing boards, otherwise in seemingly good condition, unexamined outside of frames, Mother with some small indentations to the upper center.
