Proceeds from the sale of this photograph will benefit the Silver Eye Center for Photography, Pittsburgh. In her work, Pamela Z. Bryan seeks to express her admiration for the beauty and power of the steel mills and industry that lined Pittsburgh’s rivers, which for her were like the châteaux in the Loire Valley of France. Bryan was born in New York City and moved to Pittsburgh in 1977. Bryan’s photographs are included in the corporate collections of Papercraft, Westinghouse, Deloitte & Touche, Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company, Titus & McConomy, as well as in the permanent collection of the Carnegie Museum of Art.
