Max, Peter (German/American, born 1937), Sailboats, 1980, lithograph printed in colors, 19 x 24 inches, pencil signed and numbered 88/165, framed measuring 37.5 x 41 inches, Painted and printed in 1980, this vintage work recalls the Chinese 'junk' sailboats Max watched as a child growing up in Shanghai. He calls them 'Zen Boats'-as he saw them guided by calm intuition.
