Shalem, Raphael Avraham (Greek/Thessaloniki/Israeli, b.1888), Likrat Shabbat Lechu v'Nelcha, 1937, lithograph with gold accents, printed by Monzon, Jerusalem, 25.25 x 16.25 inches, unframed. Shalem was an early student at the Bezalel Art School in Jerusalem. This image was designed in 1916, but not printed until 21 years later. The Hebrew text describes the life of Jews from Thessaloniki in the 18th century, whose ancestors were expelled from Spain in 1492.
