Booth Jr. American painter, Raymond DeFazio was born in 1936. He received a BFA in painting and design from Carnegie Mellon University (1958) and a Master of Education in art education from Pennsylvania State University (1965). Fascinated with the interplay between light and landscape, DeFazio’s paintings are meticulous scenes of streets, towns, and trees from unassuming spots around Western Pennsylvania. Many of DeFazio’s subjects are found in the course of daily walks around his Greensburg home, or wanderings throughout Westmoreland County and beyond. DeFazio has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions at Concept Gallery.
