George Brinkman English Regency tabletop/mantel clock, London. Enamel face with hand painted roman numerals. Likely early 19th century with later added elements. Lancet side apertures with pierced brass frets backed in red silk. Carved ebony stripping along front and sides, string and shaped inlay at front, brass floral form insets, lozenge form brass inset at front near peak. On four brass feet. The internal movement case is hand chased, apparently unsigned and unmarked. Appears to be in working order. Includes key to access movement door and dial door. Face hand lettered Geo. Brinkman, London. Rectangular shelf with scroll form support. Clock 17.5 x 10.5 x 6.25 inches, shelf 8.5 x 10.75 x 7 inches.
