Gignoux, Regis (French/American, Hudson River School, 1816-1882), Lot of 2 paintings: 1. Italian View Old Style, c.1875, watercolor on paper, signed bottom right, 11.75 x 9.25 inches, mounted to larger sheet, unframed. // 2. Southern France Old Style (with 3 Figures in Foreground), c.1875, watercolor on paper, signed bottom left, 9 x 7.75 inches, mounted to larger sheet, unframed. Titles taken from Gignoux's own notebook where he recorded all of his works and sales -- these with his inventory numbers 172 and 165, respectively, on the reverse. Provenance: From the estate of Arthur B. de Saint Maurice, the great-grandson of Regis Gignoux.
