"Tapis et Tissus" was issued as number 15 in Moreau's legendary l'Art International d'Aujour d'Hui series that showcased the cutting edge decorative designs of the time. The illustrated portfolios, and especially the pochoir pieces that were featured in color, were used to showcase everything in haute couture from carpets and fabrics to interior design. Rene Gabriel was a decorative artist and furniture maker who produced wallpapers for Nobilis and Papiers Peints de France.
