Frank, Robert (Swiss/American, 1924-2019), Paris [Chairs], taken 1949, likely printed in the late 1960s, silver gelatin print, titled, dated, signed and inscribed by Frank to fellow photographer Paco Grande in the lower margin, image 6.25 x 10.5 inches, full sheet 8.5 x 10.75 inches, now loose in a window mat, PF71284-111 written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the verso. Paco Grande and his wife, the actress Jessica Lange, lived in the same apartment building as Frank from 1968 to the summer of 1969. In overall good condition, with a tiny scratch just to the right of the single chair on the left, two faint marks to upper left margin, two pinholes to lower left, visible crease to upper left corner; verso with scattered stains and two tape remnants to the upper corner from previous hinging.
