Schmalzried, Robert (American/Pittsburgh, b.1932), Noel Newell's Garden, Marlborough Avenue, 2000, mixed media with oil and cut paper on board, signed lower left, additionally signed, titled and dated on the reverse, 32 x 48 inches, in a white metal frame. Provenance: from the estate of Noel Newell, the wife of the pioneering computer scientist Allen Newell. The image is of the backyard in her home in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. This painting comes with the artist's original photo slides that he used as reference for the painting.
