Leighton, Scott (Nicholas Winfield) (American 1849-1898), Study of a Horse, undated, artist's name stamp on the verso, sheet size 4 x 7 inches, appears to have been removed from a notebook with perforations on the left edge, matted and framed 9 x 11 inches. Former owner's ink note on the back says that it came from the (Horace) Burdick collection. Mat burned, some staining and tears to the edges of the sheet.
