Davis was an American photographer from Wilkinsburg whose work shed light on the post war industrialism of Pittsburgh. He was an active participant in the photographic salons in the 1940s and '50s and participated in the country's oldest Pictorialist group, The Photographic Section of the Academy of Science and Art in Pittsburgh, now known as the Pittsburgh Photography Club.

In good condition apart from discoloration along upper edge of sheet and minor abrasions near upper right corner, unexamined outside of the frame.
