Carter, Stevens Jay (African-American, contemporary), Untitled Abstract, 1987, acrylic on paper, signed and dated lower right, and signed and dated again the reverse, 25 x 37 inches, framed 31 x 42.5 inches. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Carter earned a B.A. in Studio Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. He has held faculty positions at Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania College of Technology, and Slippery Rock University. Provenance: collection of a Pittsburgh Artist.
